My Travel Buddy

No man is an island.

Yes, very cliche. But as cliche as it may sound, it has forever stayed true to everyone. Indeed, everyone of us needs some company (of any sort) just to keep ourselves sane.

Buko, from the word Starbuko (from the word Starbucks), is the name of my official travel buddy. Buko is one of the official Starbucks Bearista which you can get from any branch of the famous coffee shop.

Our first travel together was in Tagaytay, where I and some friends spent the Holy Week in April `11. Buko, from then on, became my official travel buddy.

Buko with Tom the Tiger
Some say it's weird that I travel with a Teddy Bear. But, Buko is not just one ordinary Teddy Bear. He's been to a lot of places (El Nido and Puerto Princesa in  Palawan, most of Ilocos Norte, Cebu, Bohol, Tagaytay, and many more!) Plus, add the fact that he came from Thailand. ^_^

Like me, Buko has also experienced a lot. He has tried sitting on a live Tiger in Vigan, spelunking in Cudugnon Cave in El Nido, and firefly watching in Iwahig River in Puerto Princesa to name a few. I only wish he'd have his own lifejacket and snorkeling gears so he could join me swim with the fishes!

As his travel buddy, I wish for him and me to travel and to see more of the Philippines and maybe other countries as well! ^_^

PS: If you could sponsor a little backpack for Buko or a customized lifejacket and snorkeling gear for my little travel buddy, it would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
